Microwave Sirloin Steak
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
1-1/2 lb. boneless sirloin steak, 1
inch thick
Mushroom-onion sauce, onion-butter
sauce or sour cream sauce
Instructions
Preheat Sizzlin' skillet in microwave oven at high for 6 1/2 minutes. Place butter on preheated skillet to melt. Spread evenly across surface. Place steak on skillet. Microwave at high 4 minutes, turn steak over. Microwave until medium-rare doneness, 3 to 4 minutes longer. Serve with 1 of the sauces. ONION-BUTTER SAUCE: 1/2 c. firm butter or margarine Pepper 1 tsp. Dijon mustard 1 green onion, chopped Microwave butter in bowl at high until softened, 15 to 20 seconds. Stir in other ingredients. Can add mushrooms. SOUR CREAM SAUCE: 1 tsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. cold water 1/2 c. sour cream 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dill weed Mix cornstarch and water in a bowl, stir in remaining ingredients. Microwave uncovered at 70% (medium-high) for 1 to 2 minutes until warm and thickened, stirring every 30 seconds.
