1/2 c. shortening
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
Beat in 1 egg. Add: 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt |

| Stir in 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Spread in greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over and put in oven for 5 minutes. Put knife through. Bake 12-14 minutes at 375 degrees
