Buttermilk Pralines

1-1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts |

| Instructions |
| Combine sugar, buttermilk and soda. Cook over medium heat until a drop forms hard ball in cold water. Remove from heat, add margarine, vanilla and nuts. Stir until mixture begins to harden. Drop spoonfuls on foil or wax paper. Makes about twenty 2 inch pralines.
