Meatloaf Wrapped in Cabbage Leaves

1-1/2 pounds ground beef

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon salt

1 medium onion, chopped

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 1/4 cup crushed soda crackers

1 cup milk

1 large head of cabbage

1 can cream of mushroom soup

Instructions

Combine first 7 ingredients. Form into loaf. Separate leaves of cabbage and cook several minutes (until begins to soften) in boiling salted water. Drain. Wrap meatloaf with several layers of cabbage leaves. Place in 2 quart casserole dish and top with 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 3/4 can water. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours.
