Dr. Pepper Baked Spareribs
4-5 lb. spareribs
1 c. catsup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 c. Dr. Pepper
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. chili powder
1 c. onion, finely chopped
Instructions
Cut ribs into serving pieces. Place in shallow pan, meaty side up. Roast at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain and discard fat. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients; simmer 15-20 minutes. Spoon sauce over ribs. Reduce oven to 350 degrees. Roast ribs, basting frequently until tender. The ribs may also be cooked over charcoal. This sauce is good on chicken or other meats.
