Grilled Barbecue Bass
1 (4 to 5 pound) bass
2 tablespoons salad oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup onion, finely diced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 drops Tabasco
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 (6 ounce) can mushrooms, broiled in butter
Instructions
Place fish on double sheet of heavy foil; bring foil up around fish. Combine remaining ingredients and heat. When coals have formed a white ash, pour hot sauce over fish. Fold foil securely. Place on grill 4 inches above coals. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes. When fish flakes easily, it is done.
