Cranberry Sauce Banana Nut Bread
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup shortening
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups sifted self-rising flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups mashed bananas
1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt type pan; set aside. Cream sugar and shortening with electric mixer in mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, blend well. Add flour, walnuts, baking soda, and bananas; blend well. Stir in cranberry sauce. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn out onto wire rack to cool.
