Apple Cheesecake
2 small packages Royal no-bake cheesecake mixes
6 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted
3 cups cold milk
1 (1 pound -4 ounce ) can apple slices
water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 (1 3/4 ounce) package red cinnamon candies (red hots)
Instructions
Combine graham cracker crumbs from packages, sugar and margarine. Press mixture firmly against sides and bottom of 8 inch springform pan. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Pour mix into large mixing bowl. Add cheesecake filling; beat at low seepd with electrick mixer or rotary beater until blended. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes longer. Pour into prepared crust. Drain apple slices thoroughly, reserving syrup in saucepan. Arraonge apple slices over cheesecake. Add enough water to reserved syrup to make 1 cup liquid. Gradually stir into cornstarch and make smooth mixture. Add cinnamon candies. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to full boil. Pour over apple slices, spreading to cover entire surface. Chill at least 1 hour befroe serving.
