Veal Chop Suey
1 1/4 pound veal steak
3 cups diced celery
2 cup diced onions
1 1/2 cup LaChoy sprouts
1 cup liquid from sprouts
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons water
3 cups rice, cooked
Instructions
Cut veal in small pieces, roll in flour. Add shortening to frying pan and brown the veal. Add celery, onions and one cup of liquid from sprouts, salt and make a thickening using 2 tablespoons flour, 2 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Add the thickening to the chop suey mixture. Cook for 2 minutes. Serve with rice.
