Baked Liver in Foil Packets

1 pound calves liver, sliced to 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick

1 medium onions

butter

salt and pepper

Instructions

Remove skin and veins from liver. Cut into serving pieces. Place 4 onion slices on 9 by 12 inch piece of greased foil. Place on piece of liver over each onion slice. Place 1 pat of butter over each piece of liver. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Cover each with remaining onion slices. Bring up corners of foil; and fold into a packet. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Open foil and bake for 10 minutes longer. Makes 4 servings.
