Pineapple Ribs

4 pounds spareribs

Soy sauce

1 cup sugar

1 cup vinegar

1/4 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 green pepper, cut into thin slices

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon chopped preserved ginger

1/2 cup pineapple chunks

1/4 cup sliced sweet pickles

Instructions

Brush spareribs lightly with soy sauce. Roast in 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until brown. Turn once during roasting. Cut ribs into finger pieces, separating each rib. Heat in saucepan sugar, vinegar, beef broth, soy sauce and green pepper. Bring to a boil; add cornstarch mixed with a little cold water, stirring constantly until thick and transparent. Two minutes before serving, add preserved giner, pineapple chunks, and pickles. Spoon over ribs. Makes 6 servings
