Baked Beans and Spareribs
2 pounds spareribs, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (14 ounce) can pineapple chunks
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
3 (1 pound) or 2 (20 1/2 ounce) cans baked beans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange spareribs in baking dish. Combine brown sugar, salt, cloves, ginger, Worcestershire sauce and syrup drained from pineapple. Pour half of mixture over ribs, then sprinkle with onion salt. Bake, uncovered 1 hour, basting frequently with pan drippings. Remove spareribs and set aside. Pour off fat from baking dish. Combine baked beans and pineapple chunks in baking dish. Arrange spareribs on top of beans and spoon remaining syrup mixture over ribs. Return to oven and bake, uncovered 45 minutes longer or until beans are hot and ribs are crisp and brown.
