Sweet and Sour Ribs
3 pounds spareribs, cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sweet pickle, juice
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Cornstarch
Instructions
Place spareribs and 2 tablespoons water in heavy casserole dish; cover. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients (except cornstarch) in saucepan. Bring to boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch and small amount of water, using enough cornstarch to make mixture sauce consistency. Add vinegar mix mixture, stirring until thickened. Pour over spareribs. Bakes 45 minutes longer. Serve with rice.
Makes 4 servings.
