Spareribs with Sauerkraut

2 to 3 lb. spareribs (have

butcher crack spareribs)

salt and pepper to taste

4 c. sauerkraut

Use 3 quart covered casserole. Cold or preheated 350 degrees oven; cooking time 2 hours. Season spareribs with salt and pepper and brown in hot skillet. If there is considerable fat on them, do not add grease to skillet. Place half the sauerkraut in casserole; next, half the browned spareribs. Repeat. Cover. Place in oven. Cook. Serves 4.
