4 pounds pork spareribs salt and pepper to taste 1/4 cup molasses 2 tablespoons mustard 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup ketchup 1 tablespoon minced green onion
Place spareribs in a Dutch oven or large pan; cover with water. Bring to a boil; simmer 30 minutes and drain. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange spareribs on a 15 x 10-inch shallow baking pan; season ribs with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, combine molasses, mustard, vinegar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and green onion. Brush spareribs with molasses mixture. Bake 15 minutes, turn spareribs and brush with sauce. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer. Makes 4 servings.
