Sausage and Rice Casserole

1 1/2 pound ground sausage

1 cup onions, chopped

1 bunch green onions, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

3 sprigs parsley

3 cups celery, chopped

1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained

1 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice

2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken and rice soup, undiluted

3 cups water

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 package almonds, slivered

Instructions

Brown sausage; remove to large casserole dish. Reserve sausage drippings. Brown onions, green onions, pepper, parsley and celery in reserved drippings. Place in casserole dish with sausage; add mushrooms, rice, soup, water and soy sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Add almonds. Bake for 30 minutes longer.
