Bacon Wrapped Cheese Wiener Dogs

4 wieners
1 slice process American cheese food (about 3/4 oz.), cut into 8 strips
4 slices bacon
4 hot dog buns

Instructions

Make lengthwise slit almost all the way through each wiener, cutting to within 1/2 inch of each end. Place 2 strips cheese in each slit. Arrange bacon on 3 layers of paper towels. Cover with another paper towel. Microwave at High for 3 minutes. Quickly wrap 1 bacon slice around each wiener. Secure with wooden picks. Arrange wieners on plate. Microwave at (1000 watt microwave) High for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until cheese begins to melt. Serve on buns.
Makes 4 servings
