Cut crusts off the bread, flatten bread with rolling pin. Spread each slice with 1 teaspoon of butter, then with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Spread half of each slice with 2 teaspoons of jelly. Fold in half and press edges firmly to seal.
Place sandwiches under the broiler, about 4" from the heat, until the bread is toasted, about 2 minutes. Turn and toast the other side. Serve immediately.
