Bran Muffins
1 cup all bran
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 cup sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Add bran to milk and let soak 5 minutes.
Cream shortening and sugar togeather.
Add beaten egg and beat until smooth.
Add bran mixture.
Measure and sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture, stirring only enough to blend.
Drop from a spoon in greased muffin tins, filling each 2/3 full.
Bake at 400 for 25 mins.
Makes 10 muffins.
