Cheeseburger Casserole

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
8 ounce can tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
pepper
American cheese slices
1 can refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

Brown ground beef, chopped onion and green pepper and drain. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup and pepper to taste. Preheat oven to 350°F. Use a 2 quart casserole dish. Layer meat mixture, American cheese slices, meat mixture, American cheese slices. Top with 1 can refrigerated biscuits. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until biscuits are nicely browned.
