1-1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs 2/3 c. butter 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate 2 eggs, separated 2 c. confectioners sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. nuts 1 gallon peppermint ice cream, soft |

| Instructions |
| Cover bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan with 1 cup crumbs. Melt butter and chocolate, beat egg yolks and add sugar, chocolate and vanilla. Beat egg whites and blend into mixture with nuts. Spread over crumbs. Spread soft ice cream and sprinkle with crumbs. |
